My soul

The picture My soul has a poem that is based off of it. on the draft its written on the sides but i decided to post it here.

My Soul is nothing but a small jar with silver wings clinging to the sides
A jar containing everything I believe in
Yet it's contents are yerning to be free

The contents in teh jar has its own curses and antidotes
Its on dieseases and cures
A way to keep balances...

A wild tiger that rears its fierce, striped body
As soon as it is profoked
Yet a little child with a jug of water is there
To chill out the big cat and make it purr

Pixies that bring along hapiness to those who deserve it...
But behind those orbs of soft, giving light
Are heartless sprites to punish dark souls

A white lamb with green books of vengence
and jealousyA black fox with a chinese hat and scrolls of peace, wisdom
And how to keep others in line
A plum tree of old with ever blooming blossoms

With pollen of dragon scales and petals as soft as feathers
Buds of new growth, leaves of dying days
But will not be forgotten
All of theese are in my jar, my soul
It seems so full but there is room for growth

I talked to Mrs. Flohr today. Shes my art mento for those who dont know her. I twas during lunch when I saw her and I was jsut there to remind her to be my mento. We discussed what supplies I should get, what i needed to get signed and make some solid choices. She signed my oustide mentor agreement form.

How I felt: I felt indifferent about this. i mean, i was already excited... so it stayed taht way all day. my mood i mean.

Time Used: 10 minte meeting.

First Visit

Today was the day we went to go and see our on campus advisor. I went to go and see mine, Mr. steinaur. I showed him my ideas for my painting, the things i learned about t and my plans for the future. as well as what i wanted to do after school . He seemed to be really into it which made me glad.

How i felt: I think that the meeting was breif but we went over everything so well. He was happy with me and said that i was very articulate with what i had to say. I was very proud of that.

Time used: 20 minute meeting

Letter of Intent

LaRae Blomquist
English Teacher @ Sheldon High
8333 Kingsbridge Drive
Sacramento, CA 95829

Dear Mrs. Blomquist

As you know you have seen that my main interest has and always will be art. I have always been seen witha pieice of paper and a pencil and if not a paper....something else to doodle on. ,On my tests, my notes, binder paper, sticky notes..anthing flat that pencil markings can show on it... I would do it.

And so my senior project I decided to make a painting ...an acrylic painting. With this I can try art on a new media...to broaden my horizons and strengthen my skills. This painting would take a lot of time, effort and being able to listen to my mentor, Paula Flhor. Hopefully my painting will come out nicely.

My reasearch paper that tied to my project was on Art Therapy; in which you use any type of art to let out negative emotions and whats on your mind. Me being a sketch artist and drawing whatever and whenever I can is a form of art therapy...for sometimes i do it on a subconcious. I cannot help but to...and I feel that it is a habit into drawing since I have a lot of negative emotions within me. It is a calm and passive way to let these emotions go.

When I did my reaserch paper and while I work on my senior project I noticed that the word 'plagarism' a lot in the packet. Plagarism in the dictionary is when someone steals someones words without giving them credit. I assure you that anything that i put in this packet that is not from my words have been throughouly cited as to make sure that i do not do such a horrendous act.

Sincerly,

Dominique S. Fambro

Inspiration Vacation.

In the morning I went to Clear lake with my sketchpad. It was a vacation to visit my roomate's father, who lives right along side the lake. With the lake as my inspiration, not to mention the mountains and the current weather, I made some Ideal sketches for my painting.

How i felt: It was a really nice trip since i never really get to go anywhere. I got to have dinner, get to draw and look out at the water....which are my three favorite things. Well ones a necessity so i guess that doesnt count.

However, I did get some good inspiration that I might use for my painting. If i dont, then that is okay...

time used: 1 hour and 15 minutes drawing.

Approval Form

This was written on November 11, 2004 but i put it in now so i can print it out later. please, enjoy.

As far back as I can remember art has been a huge part of my life. although the res tof my family is not involved in it as much as i am, I usual spend most of my free time sketching, doodling or enjoying other artists' fine work. However, I would like to try a new media to express myself, so i decided to make time and learn how to make a magnificent painting.

This will take me probably a few more weeks since I would probably be making a sketch of what I deside to paint. But, hopefully, with the help of my mentor Mrs. Flohr, It would take me no longer than a month to complete. Also with the help of my family friend i can get some supplies and also tips on brush strokes and other things.

This will be worked in probably two places, at the school or in the comfort of my home. This would be streatch and a challenged because my limits to art is usual with the pencil; it will be something new when I take over art with a paint brush.
